Generating bar codes in the printer not only produces a better quality, more readable bar code than sending bitmapped images from the application, it also reduces the size of files containing the bar codes. The Optra Bar Code SIMM can be combined with other Lexmark applications such as Optra Forms to substantially improve general workflow -- and the appearance of printed documents.
