Our Privacy Policy addresses our use of customer data in the United States and elsewhere, as well as the requirements of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

At Provantage, we care about your personal privacy and actively work to protect it. Provantage is sensitive to any concerns you may have regarding the Personal Data (as defined below) that the company collects from you during your visit to our website.

In its mail-order catalog business, which started in 1984, Provantage established security measures to safeguard Personal Data long before privacy became a popular concern among Internet users. We use state of the art security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of any data under our control. To address the privacy concerns of individuals visiting our website, we have developed the Privacy Policy outlined below.

Personal Data

"Personal Data" means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person to the extent such information is afforded the protection of law. Use of Personal Data

Provantage will use and retain Personal Data only for so long as it is helpful to support the overall purpose(s) for which Provantage collected such information, which is primarily for fulfilling its business needs, as well as facilitating compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Collection of Personal Data

SmartCart Account. You are free to browse our website without setting up any type of account; however, when you are ready to place an order, you will need to establish a SmartCart Account. The information you provide in your account will allow us to process your orders and notify you of your order status. To set up your account, we need to know your name, shipping address, billing address, phone number and email address. When paying with a credit card, we need to know your credit card billing address, credit card number, credit card security code, and credit card expiration date. You can make changes, corrections or updates to your SmartCart information during the checkout process.

For your protection, we do not store your credit card number in your SmartCart account file. This means that once you leave the checkout process, your credit card number is no longer accessible and must be re-entered during any future checkout processes. We've designed our system this way so that if someone using your computer does gain unauthorized access to your SmartCart account, they will not be able to see your credit card number.

Also, your SmartCart account provides you with the capability to export the Personal Data contained in your account as well as delete your account if you wish.

Email Subscriber List. All emails sent to our subscriber list provide a convenient way to un-subscribe if you choose to do so.

Product Wish List System. Our product wish list system requires a valid email address, which will uniquely identify your wish list and allow us to send you any email messages you optionally request. Also, our wish list system allows you to create multiple lists. For your convenience, your browser is assigned a cookie to identify the email address of your active list. Your browser must be able to accept a cookie, or you will have to identify your active list every time you use it.

Buyer's Guide Subscriber List. You can request removal from the Buyer's Guide mailing list at any time by sending an email to Subscriber@provantage.com.

Return Instructions. The form for requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization asks for your name, email address, and telephone number. This information allows us to reply to product return requests.

Sales and Marketing. Provantage may use your Personal Data for sales and marketing purposes, including contacting you for feedback in customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes, providing you with marketing literature on products and services, and providing you with information about Provantage. You may always change your privacy preferences. From time to time, Provantage may co-brand an offering or a communication with a third party, which may also collect your Personal Data or with whom we may share it. In such cases, the use of your Personal Data by such third parties is covered by their respective privacy policies, and not this Privacy Policy. Provantage does not, however, sell or rent such information to these third parties.

Fulfilling Business Transactions. Provantage may use your Personal Data to fulfill business transaction requests with you or your organization, such requests may include, but are not limited to, contacting you in response to your questions, comments, or requests. With respect to our suppliers, such requests may include issuing purchase orders, receiving invoices, or providing other information. If, in providing support, we engage you telephonically, we may monitor or record our interaction for purposes of quality assurance, training, or to document the details of a transaction.

Social Networking. Provantage's use of social networking sites to interact with you will be governed by the terms of use and the privacy policy for the applicable social networking site.

Recruitment. If you seek employment with Provantage and provide information about yourself, we may use this information throughout Provantage in order to consider you for employment purposes, and may keep your information on file for future consideration and to support Provantage's compliance with applicable legal requirements.

Note: You may always withdraw your consent of our use of your Personal Data. Once you withdraw consent, we will no longer use your information unless there is a lawful reason for us to do so.

Disclosure of Personal Data

From time to time, Provantage may contemplate entering into various business development activities which may include the sale, purchase, merger, or reorganization of one or more of its businesses. Provantage only collects this information in the aggregate, and only uses such information to better tailor our website content to user needs, and to help us and our vendors measure the level of response to advertising and promotional campaigns. Analysis Tools. Provantage may use analysis tools like Google Analytics to help us analyze the data we obtain from cookies and other technologies. Log File Information. Provantage records log file information whenever you access our website. Web Beacons. Provantage uses web beacons. A web beacon is an electronic (and usually transparent) image that is placed on a website or in an email.
