The advanced, proprietary systems used by Provantage have been continually
refined for over 29 years into the most sophisticated in the industry.
Most in-stock orders are filled and confirmed within minutes of
being placed!
We work hard to offer the best products at the lowest prices possible,
while still providing the fastest service in the industry.
If there was stock when your order was placed and by the time your
order has cleared our credit card security department the stock was no
longer available, we will advise you of the backorder situation. This
can happen occasionally because stock is not allocated until your order
is verified, accepted, and processed. Therefore, stock levels and
shipping projections may occasionally change by the time your order
is shipped.
Provantage provides the latest delivery information provided to us by
our suppliers. Most items will show an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
for each product that is backordered. Some of our suppliers do not
offer ETA's and we can only offer our customers our best delivery
estimates in those cases.
You can use your Provantage Wish List to keep track of out of stock
items before actually purchasing the product. You can request to
receive email notifications when items are back in stock so that you may
purchase them at your convenience.
We'll notify you When a backordered item becomes discontinued and make
every effort to offer an alternate product. When we are not able to locate
an alternate product, we'll refer you to the manufacturer for further
information and assistance. Your order for the discontinued item will be
canceled.
Provantage has an automated backorder system and welcomes advance
orders. We understand that our customers need the newest products and
want the latest technology available. Simply place your order and we will
do the rest. Your order will ship as soon as stock becomes available.
Our advice to customers is to place your orders early and get on the
backorder list. All backorders are filled in the order they were received.
If you place an order for an item that is out of stock, we will notify
you of the backorder status and ship any items on your order that are
currently available. We will place your backordered item on a waiting list.
This will keep you in line for the next available shipment. We will only
bill you for what has shipped at the time of shipment. If your order is
shipped from multiple warehouses, you will still only pay the shipping that
was on your initial order.
Our advanced electronic interfaces continually scan our distributors
for their best current pricing and availability. While changes in
availability between different distributors may result in some price
fluctuations, it ensures that you will always receive
the lowest possible prices on currently available products.
If we did not use this method of sourcing, we would not be able to offer
such low prices, and we would be frequently out of stock on items that our
customers would like to purchase.
A product's cost may change when stock is depleted from a primary source,
and we have to use an alternate in-stock source to fill your order. While we
always attempt to fill orders at the original price, an unexpected
cost increase may occasionally force an increase in price. In that case,
we will contact you to determine whether you want to continue your order
at the new price or cancel your order. We reserve the right to decline
the acceptance of any orders.
Shipping charges may often change for the same reasons that prices
may fluctuate (see previous Q&A). Just as our product costs vary between
different suppliers, so do our shipping costs. As a result, when one
distributor's stock is depleted and a product needs to come from a
different distributor, both our price and shipping charge can change.
Most of our orders ship directly to you from regional warehouses. As
a result, the products you order are rarely physically located at our
corporate headquarters in Ohio where our Sales and Customer Service people
are located. However, you may find answers to many of your product questions
on our website. There you will find detailed products descriptions and
links to manufacturer websites.
Yes. We provide related links to each of our manufacturers throughout
our website. From there you will be able to get support information directly
from the manufacturer.
Possibly yes. If you are interested in a certain product that you do not
currently see on our website, you are welcome to contact us at
Sales@provantage.com
to request that we carry a particular product or product line. Please
provide as much information about the product and manufacturer as possible
- including manufacturer's website, part number, etc.
Provantage sources the majority of the products that we sell from our authorized
distributor partners such as IngramMicro, D & H, Synnex, and Tech Data. The
easiest way to have your products sold through Provantage would be to make
them available from one of these distributors. In rare cases, we will consider
purchasing product directly from manufacturers that meet
our requirements. If you would like to contact us about selling your products
you will need to email us at
NewProducts@provantage.com. We will be able to guide
you to a distributor or discuss a possible direct relationship.
